The Brief
When this client first visited our showroom, they were initially drawn to a black handleless Nolte display, but felt that a more traditional shaker-style kitchen might better suit the character of their home.
However, once we presented a shaker-style design, it became clear that it didn’t fully capture what they were looking for. They still had a strong preference for the darker, more industrial aesthetic they had originally been drawn to.
By reworking the same layout into a modern, industrial-inspired design, the direction immediately felt right. The client ultimately chose a style that better reflected their personality and the atmosphere they wanted to create within their home.
Alongside the kitchen, the brief also included increasing storage capacity and delivering a full transformation of the open-plan kitchen, dining and living areas.
The Design
The final design features Nobilia StoneArt in Grey Slate reproduction, creating a bold, textured look inspired by natural stone. This finish was used across both the cabinetry and wall panelling, delivering a cohesive and architectural feel throughout the space.
The overall style blends industrial and modern influences, with a strong focus on raw materials and layered textures. To enhance this look, the client selected corten steel worktops and splashbacks from Nolte, adding warmth and depth while reinforcing the industrial aesthetic.
Storage played a key role in the design. A combination of smart internal solutions was incorporated, including LeMans pull-out corner units, internal spice racks, and a dresser-style cabinet, ensuring the kitchen is as practical as it is visually striking.
The space is grounded by Quickstep Creo laminate flooring in Louisiana Oak Natural, which introduces a softer, natural tone that balances the darker cabinetry and metal finishes beautifully.
Appliances & Finishing Touches
A premium mix of appliances from Neff, Bosch, and Blomberg, alongside Blanco fittings, completes the kitchen with a focus on performance, reliability and everyday functionality.
Beyond the kitchen itself, we also carried out a full renovation of the dining and living areas, creating a seamless open-plan environment that feels cohesive and completely transformed.
The Result
The finished space is a confident and characterful interior that perfectly reflects the client’s vision - combining industrial textures, modern design, and practical storage solutions into a truly bespoke result.
