What Repair Services Do We Offer?

Customers of George Robertson Ltd can have peace of mind that should their appliance develop a fault, either in or out of the manufacturer’s warranty, then our Appliance Technicians will be available to repair the problem and offer any advice necessary. Our shop staff are also very experienced in troubleshooting over the phone.

Our team of three experienced and certified Appliance Technicians travel across Shetland daily to repair appliances, ensuring you receive reliable service. Our Appliance Technicians are trained in domestic and commercial appliance repair, and most are also qualified electricians too.

We will repair any products we sell. Brands include: Bosch, Blomberg, NEFF, Siemens, Beko, Shark, Dyson, Zanussi, Rangemaster, Leisure, Electrolux, Sony, Sonos, etc. We do not repair brands we do not sell. To ensure continued quality, we only source genuine spare parts for all our repairs.

Is Your Product Covered By Warranty?

All appliances come with a warranty when they’re sold, which can vary from one to five years. (We also offer the opportunity to extend your warranty).

If you’re not sure of your product’s warranty period, or when you purchased it, then you can contact us, and we will check our system.

Faults covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, and within the warranty period, will be repaired at no cost to the customer.

Faults not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, or out-with the warranty period, will incur a cost. We charge a One-Off Fixed Repair Charge, payable upfront.

I Need My Appliance Repaired - What Do I Do?

1) We can offer basic troubleshooting with our shop staff over the phone and in person – so consider this if you think it’s something you might be able to fix yourself. Call 01595 692915 or drop along the shop Monday to Saturday between 9.00am-5.00pm. If you've mislaid your instruction manual or want to look at the brand's troubleshooting pages then click here.

2) Is your appliance AEG, Zanussi or Electrolux? If so, you must log the job with them first, then they will contact us. Click on the brand name to log your job with them direct.

3) Report your faulty appliance with us:

IMPORTANT! If your appliance is outwith warranty, then payment must be made when the repair is first reported. The One-Off Fixed Repair Charge is something we have had to introduce from March 2024 onwards due to the level of repair job invoices that have gone unpaid. As a business, we cannot sustain this level of unpaid work. We trust our customers will understand our need for the upfront payment.
