The Brief
Our client was looking for design input to transform a challenging space into a functional and efficient kitchen and living area. With low ceilings and limited natural light, the goal was to maximize usability and create a more practical, brighter, and inviting space.
The Solution
This kitchen refurbishment was guided by a clear and confident vision from the client, who was immediately drawn to the black handle-less Nolte display in our showroom - and remained committed to that aesthetic throughout the design process. The sleek, contemporary look of the handle-less cabinetry set the tone for a minimalist and modern space.
To maintain a bright and open feel, the client opted for a light-coloured solid worktop, which contrasted well with the dark cabinetry while keeping the space feeling fresh and airy. Floating shelves were chosen instead of wall units, helping to preserve an open atmosphere and allowing for stylish, accessible storage.
To compensate for the absence of upper cabinets, higher base units were used to maximise storage capacity without compromising the clean, streamlined look. A key detail in the design was the integration of a dining table that would tie in seamlessly with the kitchen’s overall aesthetic, creating a cohesive living space that’s both functional and visually striking.
